Kannada Rajyotsava Celebrated in the city

Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations were held today at Nehru Maidan Mangalore. November 1st is the day Mysore state renamed as Karnataka and therefore all the Kannadiga’s celebrate this day as Karnataka Rajyotsava.

Kannadambe, mother of Karnataka Bhuvaneshwari was bought in a procession from Jyothi circle of city to Nehru Maidan. Yogish Bhatt, MLA Mangalore, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Chame Gowda, DDPI and the many dignitaries of the district involved in the procession.

Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated at Nehru Maidan Mangalore. Krishna Palemar, In Charge Minister for District watched the parade in open vehicle and he hosted National and State flag in the occasion.

After hosting the flag and national anthem addressing the gathering Krishna J Palemar said, Karnataka has its own heritage. It does not requires to brow any celebration from out side because inside the state only it filled with culture, wealth, tradition, religion, languages and different types of celebrations. Here the language has more importance but when we think of language and its importance we should think the ability of the language in making the life of Kanadians. Therefore many world level linguistic and cultural conferences are taking place in Karnataka. The land of Karnataka spread with integrity and solidarity. Our Kannada language has the ability of creating the strong state with the internal strength of people, he added.

He said, Kannada medium education in state will be taken to the higher level in order to give more importance towards state language. Also there will be more efficiency school education system and Kanadians can move forward with quality education as now they have spread over the world, he explained.

Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Yogish Bhatt, MLA Mangalore, U T Kadar, MLA Ullal, Ponnuraj, DC DK, Gopal Hosur, IGP Western range, Dr Subramanyeshwar Rao, SP DK and the officers of all the government departments were present at the occasion.

Guides and Indian Seva Dal teams were awarded for best performances in Parade. School kids from city presented the cultural program after the stage programs.
