Arogyotsava inaugrated

Arogyotsava, a mega comprehensive health exhibition organized by Fr Muller Charitable Institutions at Fr Muller Grounds, Kankanady Mangalore formally inaugurated on Friday 6th November 2009 by Ponnuraj, Deputy District Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada.

Delivering the inaugural address Ponnuraj said, medical field is a growing field and it has a huge demand. Present there is demand only for medical sector and it is still continuing its work. Many of the cases every sector is falling in its process and getting failure but it is not in the case of medical field where sicknesses are increasing.

Expressing his concern over the comercilisation of medical field, he said, most of the professionals are going towards money making business instead of saving the lives of poor. It should not occur in society and professional should follow the ethics.Every one must work in building the healthy society and work for its health, he suggested.

Fr Dennis D’Sa welcomed the gathering and Dr J P Alva proposed the vote of thanks. Ponnuraj along with the Directors watched the exhibition and the experiments.

Students of Fr Mullers institutions are exhibiting medical facilities with the treatments. Exhibition will conclude on November 8th and public can afford the venue for the necessary guidance in medicine.

Over 50 stalls are exhibiting in the venue with varies types of medical facilities. Also skeleton of Fr Augustus Muller and his cup board, chair, clock, bed, books, medical instruments etc are exhibiting in the venue.
