“Religious Harmony through Education”

Cultural Research and Study Centre Canara First Grade College Mangalore in association with Dharma Samanvaya and National Service Scheme Mangalore University level workshop on Religious harmony through education was inaugurated on Thursday 24th September 2009 at T V Raman Pai Hall Mangalore.

Dr Syed Aquil Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Yenepoya University inaugurated the occasion by lighting the lamp.

Delivering the inaugural address Dr Syed Aquil Ahmed said, Mangalore was known for the brotherly hood relations in its past but now some have spoiled the peace. Harmonies society is the role model for those who are provoking communalism in society.

Each and every citizen of the country has the duty of protecting their country and work for the peace. This is mainly possible only through the education. There for all required to be educated in getting communal harmony, he advised

Every citizen is responsible in maintaining peace in society, it’s an individual duty. That is why everyone has to improve themselves and educate everyone in becoming a responsible citizen of the country, he added.

Brahmachari Sudharma Chaithanya, Acharya, Chinmaya Mission presided over the inaugural function.

Dr G N Bhatt, MSW Dept. Roshini Nilaya, S S Kamath, Correspondent Canara College Prof. P C M Kunhi, Yenepoya College and Rev Dr John Fernandes, Head Chair in Christianity, Mangalore University were present.
