Mangalore United ‘Reality Show’ begins at NITK

‘Mangalore United’ team for Karnataka Premier League has commenced a three-day reality show of cricket matches, started today on August 21 at NITK grounds in Surathkal. The show was inaugurated by Mohidin Bawa, the owner of the team along with Charu Sharma, popular television cricket commentator.

This reality show is organized to test the talents of the selected 45 players, who have been divided into four teams. The teams have been playing against one another, to expose their capability and potential, with the hope that they would be selected for the Mangalore United team so that they can play in KPL matches. Charu Sharma will be the in-charge of selection process.

The selection round, which has been christened as the ‘reality show’, will continue for three days till august 23. After the matches best 14 players will be selected for the final round, which will be held on August 30. These 14 players will play a final match with the Mangalore United KPL team, which has been chosen through the bidding process. Finally, out of these 14, three local players will be selected for the Mangalore United team.
